We have had a LOT of spammers today. We've been trying to keep on top of them, and thank you to everyone that has reported their posts. Honestly, what they think they can achieve is beyond me. Unless I'm mistake and you're all after sexual favours in New Delhi, in which case, I apologise for depriving you of that information on how to get your fun.

Send your complaint forms in via the usual channels. :)

TeeHee - what a place to choose! A UK based forum about Labrador dogs. Yeah, right - absolutely your target audience for sex in New Delhi - so not! :D :D :D

And why are they targeting the Puppies sub-forum in particular? Are puppy people particularly kinky? You mods have cleared it up so fast, cheers

Horrible stuff isn't it? I get some extremely dodgy emails from time to time from someone with a Russian sounding name, offering me all sorts of unspeakable 'enjoyment'. Odd thing though is that she seems to think I'm a man  Perhaps my name is used by males in her part of the world !!

Ok time to unwatch the Puppies forum for now - 70+ unread emails this morning! Is it time to implement a time delay for new members? Waiting 24 hours before being able to post might deter the spammers?

We already have a system of manual approval for registrations. I've been rejecting loads recently, but this one slipped through the gaps. Pippa has implemented a Captcha on registration now, which may do something. If not, and it remains a problem, I'd propose putting in a moderation requirement for the first few posts, but that obviously creates more work for the mod team - and you'd be amazed how many people will post multiple times when that's in place. So... we'll see how it goes, and discuss it between the mods to work out a best solution for everyone.

    Sorry for the disruption.

I don't think it is you who should apologise! Thanks for cleaning up the dirt.

The internet can be a rough and nasty place. This site is good because it operates in a very ethical and kind way.I've recommended to a lot of people and I don't usually do that. All the administrators and mods are excellent this has filtered down to the site. It's Been fun thought provoking and helped me a lot. Thank you
