I joined the forum a little over a month ago and posted how I was getting ready to add a new puppy to our family. Our boy Sawyer (in the avatar) is 13 1/2 months old and the new pup just turned 9 weeks yesterday. She is a beautiful chocolate girl we named Kona. So far the dogs seem to be getting along well, even though Sawyer can get too rough at times. Kona seems to hold her own with him though! Looking forward to seeing them grow up together, I think they like each other!
Ok, so I think I need to order several black and white vertically striped shirts and a whistle, because evidently my new job is a referee! These two can get into it!
Welcome Kona. I'm sure you already doing this, but make sure you give them both calm down places, especially Kona or she will be overtired and over exerted. Look forward to lots of photos
Congrats! I have a 7yo labradoodle (one British field lab parent, one standard poodle parent) and a new mostly-lab rescue who's 4 months old. YES, these two body slam and play-bite and wrestle each other like mad! It's a bit nutty at times! I have to separate them and make them calm down when they get overexcited, but otherwise it's great.
Ah I've just posted on your other thread,Kona is gorgeous ,bet it's a bit hectic at the moment though x
Yes it is hectic! Every time I let her out of the pen for a while they fight over toys. ANY toy she tries to play with Sawyer goes and takes it from her, and she fights back. I have to go and intervene. I do have toys for her in her pen.
