    In his defence I think the crate lifted up a section and he was messing about with the bed in his crate and managed to tear the lino that way (then he "helped" make it a little bigger)

    Yes, and you have to wonder why she chose the floor when the other looks like it would be easier for her little teeth to grab on to. Little devil. :)
