Why don't puppies understand the concept of the extra hour in bed :(

After getting me up at 7.30 he's now happily snoozing away in his bed again. I'm cleaning my oven

Stanley clearly cares about the state of your own, @JenBainbridge. Xena could care less

Hah, I'm grateful that I got to "spring forward" with a puppy and not "fall back" - changing time earlier this month was a breeze! She'll be 12 months by the time the clocks change again, surely she'll be in full teenager lazy morning mode by then? Right?

Tonight at training I saw a Bernese Mountain Dog hop out of a tiny little Mazda 3 hatchback. I'm surprised he manages to fit in there tbh. His name is Boris (the dog, not the car) and he's just a gorgeous teddy bear of a dog. The whole car thing reminded me of that challenge in Top Gear where Jeremy Clarkson had to fit a Newfie into the tiniest car imaginable and still manage to do a lap of the track.

Aw, we know a Bernese called Buster. He's a gentle giant although lots of dogs don't seem to like him - I guess because of his size. My two have known him since they were pups, though, and get on well with him. There's also a Weim in the house, and when Buster was a puppy, he used to suck her ears. They were constantly soggy, poor girl. I once got stuck in the corner when I visited them to look at a computer issue, because they decided it was playtime as I was taking my shoes off. Two big dogs rough-housing in a small hallway, and me, trying not to get squished. :)

Casper will only eat shop bought honey, or honey from another area of the country. He won't touch honey from our own bees since he was stung on his tender bottom.

Shadow is most unimpressed by the clocks changing, and is convinced I have forgotten his lunch. He keeps sadly licking my hands to prompt me.

I hate that the OH always jumps into bed first so that I have to be the mean one and tell these two that they can't sleep here

How could you! HOW could you? Look at Ella's face!

Heartless. And an abuse of Fundamental Labrador Rights.

Disgraceful behaviour. You should be ashamed.

You should also learn the lesson and make sure you get under the duvet first, so you get prime wriggle-room.

Then let the dogs up.... and then OH can find some small corner that's left :D

Still a little thief, even when he's poorly.

He's so leggy at the minute, totally not in proportion :D

She really has perfected that look hasn't she! She gives me the same look when I get my work shoes out of the cupboard.

No, just doggy sitting Hamish while his humans are on holiday. He's a lovely boy but it has confirmed that we will remain a one dog household for foreseeable future.
