So we popped along to the beach after lunch, clicker and treat bag in hand, and after a slow start getting down the path from the car park past 3 dogs, finally hit sand, mud and creek off-lead. It was great! Truffle is so food-motivated (maybe even a little greedy!) that she kept coming back to practise her heel work, we had to send her off to sniff and play. She got the hang of it, and of course has been for a complete dunking and swim already, crossing a muddy bit of creek. OH went to lift her over but she just launched in . After that there was digging holes, running in the sea, getting covered in sand, then all too quickly bustled back to the car for a snooze at home. A day to make you forget about the bities and the bin-raiding! Will go and sort some photos out now...

That sounds like such a fun outing for all of you. And look at that empty beach! Perfect place for a first romp.
Too cute! We took Libby to the beach for the first time this weekend. She hit the sand and she was off and running. It was a really stormy day. My husband and I were drenched but she didn't mind at all. We came across a man walking his 8 year old lab on the beach and we let them run and play.
