Not really dog related but in our first year in our home on our nice family estate we've had 3 halloweeners :( and one of them was my best friend who brought her son round to see me!

Gutted :( but have enough sweets to last me til Xmas :p

Halloween/Hop-tu-Naa - I'm afraid we went out for a curry and left Coco to scare them off. I did stock up on chocs & sweets though... OH has offered to clear them up, what a star.

Just got home after a long day, feeling tired and stressed after a long drive in the fog. Holly gave me the most fabulous welcome and in now lying across my feet snoring.

I bought loads of chocolate little things for Halloween and OH ate loads of them - didn't matter much, 3 teenagers called, all looked about 16, and looked extremely disappointed with the Green and Black mini chocolate bars I gave them! Honestly, b*gger that, you can keep the whole trick and treat thing.

A group of strange looking pagan type people were gathered round the new spring on Wimbledon Common. Betsy jumped in the old spring (a sticky black mud pit) then jumped up on them.:D

On his last wee walk round the block, Charlie saw a black standard poodle, dressed as a cross between a devil and a butterfly - red costume and wings of a butterfly - thought it was the most AMAZING THING ever, and honked and fussed until I agreed to cross the road to say hello. :D

    That was our Halloween. :rolleyes::rolleyes::D

Oh my gosh, how could I forget! There was a new lady in my training class last night. Where did she keep her training treats? In a pouch? In her pockets? No.

    ...

    In her bra

She must have had a badly fitting bra if she could keep a decent number of treats in there! And the crumbs, how uncomfortable!

It does feel a little empty but that's not a good enough reason to get another dog.

How about I agree to get another dog when you complete the set and get a choccy? :D

Bruce had a good training walk this morning then a run in the park on the way home. We met a Lab/whippet cross - she could RUN!!

    Bruce is exhausted :D

Mr Boogs was on Tatze duty, they went for a nice two hour walk in the woods, Tatze's favourite.

I've got w*rk this afternoon. A new class (I teach art one afternoon a week) can't say I'm looking forward to it.

My two love whippet types. They try to catch them, but no chance :)

    I bet a lab x whippet is a handful!

Coco's best friend Bub is a Lurcher - very whippety. There's no contest in a chase, but they do love to "box" - they look like kangaroos.

I officially won the fight of Axel being aloud on the couch/bed. My OH said he's never aloud on because he could damage the couch and then never aloud on the bed because he's too big. Well, I would ask weekly 'come on, pleaseeee' up until Axel was about 9.5 months old.

Then I finally decided that I wanted a big dog to snuggle with so I was going to allow him up. Very naughty of me.. o_O so he's been up on the couch the last few weeks with me. As well as every night when we go to bed Axel has to come up on the bed for snuggles then after a couple minutes he resorts to the fluffy rug on the floor.

Well, last night OH was in the shower while Axel and I got our snuggle on on the bed and hardly any room left for OH. But OH squeezed in and was left with no blanket because Axel was lying on top of all of it but he just snuggled up to Axel and gave lots of pets and fell asleep. Ha! I won and he is happy with it lol. Axel stayed more than a couple minutes for once too. Maybe 20 minutes. Made me very happy :D:D:D

I have realised I talk to Pongo far too much, I'm constantly chatting to him on walks, using his name and nicknames and calling him "good boy" and so on - which I'm sure means he has no idea what "good boy" actually means and it's lost all its purpose!
I don't care though. He is my good boy and it's nice to have someone so sensible and good-natured to chat to each day. :D:doug:

I talk to Ripple all the time on walks, I like to discuss all sorts of things. I was told by a gundog trainer that I chat to Ripple too much -so we don't see him anymore.
I put it down to OH being away so often, and anyway the conversation is so much more sensible ;).
