I feel like I almost need to re introduce myself after not posting for a while, been busy busy busy lately with all kinds of things. Millie is growing up to a very laid back couch potato, and then she get her moments with being a puppy again. She's now 9months old and I can't stop be amazed over how stunning she is. We are practicing the hardest we can to not jump on visitors..... any tips is very much appreciated.
Welcome back! She's beautiful and looks so grown up. So it looks like you haven't added a rescue to your doggy family? I remember you talking about wanting to add a second dog after you looked after your friend's rescue.
I been struggling with myself getting sick a lot lately, latest is that I had a flu and combined with asthma and stubbornness I ended up with bronchitis and pneumonia. So I soon been sick a month, luckily for me Millie get worn out from my daughter (they frequently have tea parties lately, and my soon 3year old daughter do a lot obidience with Millie). I really want a rescue but after having cysts here n there followed with iud problems followed with this now I just been worn out to get anything done, which made me realize that I won't be able to take care of another dog if I get sick while my daughter is so young and I got Millie that is still very puppy alike sometimes in behavior.
I was wondering where you had gone - Quinn loves toddlers/little kids, they never get tired of playing ball with her! Millie and your daughter must have a great bond!
She is stunning. Sorry you've been poorly. Jumping up at guests has been a problem here too. I stopped her meeting guests when they first arrive and let them be in the house for a while before she gets to say hello. This also gives you time to brief guests to turn their backs and fold their arms if there is any jumping. Only let them say hello if she is all four paws on the floor. Any nonsense she's out or back in her crate. I feel we are finally getting there, as we had a little girl to play yesterday who hadn't been to the house before and Jessie was as good as gold. It has taken a while though, she is now a year old!
