Thanks so much for putting up these growth charts. Although I am confused. Which axis shows weight and which shows age? And are these in kg or pounds? Sorry to be so stupid.... I am reading them with weight in kg up the y (vertical) axis and age along the x (horizontal) axis but please correct me if I am wrong. I weighed my lovely girl today and have kept a record of a couple of her weights; So here is some data if you want to add; Today she is 6 months and one week old. She weighs 17.8 kg. When she was 14 weeks old she was 8.6 kg When she was 16.5 weeks old she was 10.3kg. Apparently her mother was 35kg pre pregnancy so not a particularly big one. They are from working lines.
35kg for a female seems huge, at least I think so. Most the male labs I meet are at the 30kg mark and the females much much smaller haha
Sparky is now 41 lbs at 19 weeks! Little slow down with the weight gain since I reduced his daily ration. Slower weight gain and solid poop. Can't complain!
Loki weighed 15.3kg today, age 18.5 weeks. He can almost pull me over so goodness knows what it will be like when he's 30+kg!
Hi all, Well a few weeks have passed so quickly (so much for my idea of updating the graph in a few days...lol). Bear was weighed yesterday and he was 37 weeks and weighed in at 39.7kg's (just when I thought he was joining the graph, he had a growth spurt this last week, I can usually tell as he seems to enjoy his afternoon nap a lot more when he is growing...lol). Cheers, Cameron
I think you have jinxed me on the levelling out statement, he certainly was heading that way, but he has obviously decided he wants to do another spurt of growing first. @Rosie in response to your question about the big lad at the top of the graph, I decided to do a "Bruisers" graph for fun. This is any lab who exceeded 30kg's within 52 weeks and who had more than one data point.
Not a stupid question at all (I tried to make the graph as large as possible and in doing so cut out the axis), I have updated the graph to show the kg's and weeks, thanks for letting me know of the obvious confusion
Goodness, some of them are bruisers! Love the bruiser chart. Weighed Libby at the vets earlier, she's 18kg at 26.5 weeks (6months)
Stanley went to be wormed today. At 32 weeks he weighs 19.7kg. He's getting bigger but still pretty small bless him
