Hello, Our 16 week old chocolate swallowed the rubber end of the door stop approximately two hours ago. I called the vet and they said as long as she is not acting too strange over the next few days that she will probably pass it. I will continue to monitor her to make sure we do not need to take her into the vet and start checking her stool to hopefully find it in the next day or two. I wanted to ask if anyone else has had any similar experiences and what they had to do? Or did it just pass? I am a bit worried. The link below shows approximately what the rubber tip looks like except it is white. Thanks. https://www.zoro.com/value-brand-bu...gclid=CL652Onk39ACFUk6gQodqXcP9A&gclsrc=aw.ds
Oh Quinn took the tips off every door stop in the house within 2 weeks of arrival - don't think she swallowed one though. She passed the tail of of squeaker toy at 14 weeks - much much larger than a door stop tip. We didn't even know she had eaten it, as OH thought I threw out the toy, and I thought he did! As long as you have called your vet and monitoring her for eating, drinking and going potty normally and any lethargy. I removed all door stop tips (and still have no tips on them)...and anything similar from around the house.
Ripple ate a knob from the lever on my computer chair when he was a puppy. Can't remember how long it took but it passed though safely.
Yeah we have been very careful with keeping her out of things, but it appears we need to be even more diligent. I think she actually already pooped it out. Not 100% sure but I do not know what else it could of been in her stool. It was less than 5 hours after she ingested it. Could something pass all the way through in less that 5 hours? It just seems almost too quick.
Keep a very close eye for any lethargy, vomiting, diarrhoea or changes like refusing food. Phone your vet for advice. But, all being well it will come up or out in a few days. ..
I sleep with those orange foam ear plugs. Once again, missing one when I woke up the other morning. 'Found' it in the backyard today. That makes about the third one she's gotten. I think they just squish their way through.
This same thing happened to my Labrador puppy today (she’s 14 weeks)! I tried to dig in the back of her throat but she must have swallowed it. Did you ever find the rubber piece in her stool?
Yes simba has had a few of these much to my daughter horror, I just try to keep everywhere free of things but sometimes hard. I've also had a false nail that i have no idea where this came from. It is a worry and feel like a poop inspector half the time.wondering what may come out next . He's now 6 months old and turns everything in to a game so am considering a basket mouth guard as a short term solution as tries to eat everything when we are out on walks. I've tried not to panic as much as he will just hold things in his mouth for periods of time not swallowing it
