We have a canary (the camera) in our kitchen so we can keep an eye on thor while we're out of the house. Normally this is just watching him sleep. Well today I managed to watch him climb on top of his crate, turn around like he was looking into the camera and bark almost like a lion on top of a cliff. Needless to say he then leapt down the other side of the pen and has had a fun afternoon destroying the kitchen. Thankfully he got the side without any food so it was just general mess. I don't think I've ever been so nervous walking into my own kitchen!

    Hmm, me too!
I was wondering what I would have done if I was in your position Aimee.
I would have been glued to the camera, watching what nonsense was going on.....don't think I would have got much work done!

Aha thankfully I'm the boss so I exercised my 'work at home' privilege and headed straight back. He's been ill enough the last few days without eating anything he shouldn't. I took it as a sign he was feeling better though ;)

Its an app on the phone that sends you a notification whenever there's movement. It senses when you're out of the house so only monitors when you aren't there. Generally a cctv camera but we just use it to keep an eye on thor... Definitely the most precious thing in the house :)

Good job you were able to see what he's doing and got home shortly after.
I used to have a similar system on my phone so I could watch Harley, the worst thing she ever got up to was pushing the quilt on my bed down and built a den for herself!

If our house alarm goes off while we're out, our security firm checks the house and calls us. The first thing I ask is: is the dog okay? I think they think I'm mad cos most people would have a dog to guard the house, not pay a security firm to guard the dog! Yes definitely the most precious thing in the house.
