    German Shepherd/Golden Retriever?

    or GS/Lab?

I see a lot of GS/GRs - they are the same shape, various colourings including Buddy's, ears down but usually a bit fluffier than Buddy :)

This is the lovely Freya - GS/GR.

Well I've already guessed Great Dane (which is a Mastiff!) so I'll go for English. As a guess!

I thought Spanish when I saw him, but I don't really have a clue!

Mmmm... I'm going to continue my streak of agreeing with Fiona and also say Spanish. But that's probably because the only kind of mastiffs I've actually seen are Old English, Spanish and Neapolitan. Well, and there seem to be a lot of GSD floating around in Spain so that mix would make sense if he's a rescue.

Or simply because it's my day to copy @snowbunny . ;)

Wow he's gorgeous. I would guess GSD x Japanese or Brazillian Mastiff? x

Same here, just because he has German Shepherd colouring and Great Dane height! No idea what sort of mastiff, though.
