A while ago I posted about a situation that happened on a walk on lead and about Molly's over enthusiastic reaction to meeting people and dogs. Today we were walking through a field, not a public area but belonging to our farming neighbour, who being a generous sort, allows neighbours to go through this field with their dogs when there is no stock in it. Unfortunately some folks with 2 dogs had seen us and I guess, assumed this is a public area, as these fields abut National Trust land and its not always clearly enough signed for people to realise they have strayed onto private land. Anyway, Molly is off lead, chasing a ball, generally leaping about enjoying her young self and quite excited. Inevitably she spotted these folks at the top of this fairly large field and off she went at break neck speed. I gave 2 toots on the whistle and believe it or not, she instantly turned, from quite a way out and shot back to me and sat down in front of me with a big grin on her face. Tasty teats and a lot of good girl stuff, really pleased and proud of our lovely girl
Good job both of you!!! Pat yourself on the back.....this was a great response! Wish I could say the same about my pup......sometimes yes, sometimes no. So, not good. Need much more training. So you have done a great job at training her.
