    Hi everyone.

Just brought into my life Bubba. He's an 11 week old Choccy Lab and as cheeky as hell, but beautiful with it. I lost Diesel, my Great Dane x Dalmation in September after sharing my life with him for 13 wonderful years. Now I'm looking forward to the long road ahead and the new training sessions...at the moment he's asleep under my desk...giving my hands a rest from his needles!

I look forward to hearing all about your own Labs soon.

Have a great day and...Happy New Year :)

Hi from Holly and me in Monmouth.

Sorry to hear about Diesel, he sounds like a lovely dog. I hope that you and Bubba enjoy many years together.

Holly's my third lab and is four years old, inexhaustible, loves water, and has a very gentle nature. I can't imagine life without her.

Hi to you & Holly. Yes, Diesel was such a beautiful, loving character who sadly developed arthritis to the point that it was obvious he was in pain...such a shame...and I had to make the dreadful decision. I've cried daily since and miss him so very much.

You're in Monmouth...I lived in Llangrove until February last year...it's a small world.

I'm waiting now until I can start taking Bubba out...he's still on quarantine at the mo and both of us can't wait. Carrying him around is getting less as he's already hit the 10kg mark and has HUGE paws!

Take care...hugz to Holly from Bubba :)

Hi and welcome from me and 3 year old girl, Harley from Bristol (about an hour and a half from you I think). :)
There are a few of us that meet several times a year with our pups/dogs, usually in and around the Forest of Dean. Would be great to meet you if you are able to join us when Bubba is a bit older. Look out for posts that say 'Severnside walkies'.

Its a lovely area for walking dogs. Holly and I often go out for the whole morning in the Wye Valley or Forest of Dean. We're so lucky to live here.

Our last Lab, Cocoa, was also a victim to arthritis. It wasn't easy deciding at what point her quality of life had reached the point where it was kinder to have her PTS. Six years on my wife and I still miss her, but we've grown to accept that we made the right decision.

Hi to you & Harley from me & Bubba. I lived in Yate a while ago...that's two people already on this thread who have been my neighbours!

Yes that would be wonderful to get together when he's a bit more grown up...right now he's still on quarantine :(. He's also fast asleep at the mo which is giving me a well deserved rest and saving the carpet!

    Take care...:)

Yes, it's beautiful. Me & Diesel used to walk down through the woodland for miles at Llangrove...Capler Woods near Fownhope was also our favourite.

So sorry about Cocoa, it's not a decision to be taken lightly I know but it's kinder on our babies...it's my second time now. My mind was made up when I couldn't bear to see Diesel in pain while trying to stand :(

Hello and welcome from me and Lilly, too far away to take part in the Severnside Walkies sadly as we are up Norf in Scotland.
Sounds like Bubba is going to keep you on your toes

I was in Blaisdon off Shire Way :)

I was once teaching someone to ski in Andorra, and it turned out he lived in the same street as me in Yate. Very small world :)

Hello to you & Bubba. I'm sorry to hear about Diesel, letting them go is such a tough part of living with our dogs. Bubba is going to keep you very busy for a long while ;)

Hi to you and Coco too :)

It's the second time I had to do it and it's just as hard as the first time...it ripped my heart out losing Diesel...he was such a gentle, faithful dog...will have to post pics of him later.

Bubba is already keeping me busy

Hi Rosie & Pongo. This world gets smaller. Another of my favourite walks with Diesel (my last beautiful dog) was a field down the road next to Dodington Park...James never did invite me in for tea lol.

Huge hugs from me & Bubba :)
