Ah Kelsey, he will be in good hands. Hopefully the vet will get this sorted out for good and you can move on. They are such a worry our dogs. So totally WORSE than our real children, i think. Keep busy x
So his X-rays came back normal for his intestines but his stomach is bloated. So they think the string must be causing some upset if it is still infact in him. So they kept him the rest of the day to monitor him and give him small portions of food. That went fine. But the vet called me just now to say she would like to keep him over night and keep him on IV fluids because she is worried how rapidly he lost weight. She also hopes that the IV fluids will help push things along by getting him nice and hydrated. So my sweet sweet boy won't be coming home tonight. Hoping tomorrow I can get him after work. If he throws up again they will repeat X-rays and do barium as well. I just feel like there is no certainty. I'm scared that he may do well then I'll pick him up tomorrow and then we will be going through this again the following day. Just wish the stupid string would come out
Oh what a worry. He'S in the best place to be, so try to stay positive. Fingers crossed this is all behind you soon. Come on, string, get outta there!!
I've been thinking about Axel all day, I'm so sorry that you don't have an answer but Lisa's right, he's in the best place and hopefully they'll get to the bottom of it tomorrow.
So sorry you're going through this - the waiting must seem endless. He is in the best place of course but I know that's hard.
