What an awful experience for you both. And what a terrible trainer!

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident.I have found that all adverse incidents can prove useful learning incidents. You will be aware of situation that could be a problem and so can be prepared and put in place distraction. Boris was a nuisance at jumping up at everybody, yesterday on a long walk for the first time he didn't jump up at anyone. We have had numerous failsalong the way. But after every fail I thought what had gone wrong and tried to adapt for the next encounter.
I am amazed how many dog trainers etc believe that neutering cures all dog problems. I am glad kindergartens etc don't follow this approach, just imagine collecting Jonny from nursery and teacher says 'he has been a naughty boy todayand needs desexing !

I know when I took Fred for the first time to the vets, she asked when would I be having him castrated. I said to her that I hadn't had my OH done, so why would I need to have Fred done. She had no answer for that :D

My daughter works in a childcare centre and I think she would approve of the above suggestion for some!
