Good luck! Hope it goes well. Axel has been de-crated in the basement (where he only spent about an hour a day in max since we got him) for a month now and he hasn't done anything bad. Besides chew his cone off but other than that my basement is still intact! He may surprise you I'm too nervous to leave him upstairs yet as he still steals pillows and tea towels.
I bought some new treats for Axel. Bison liver... oh dear god. He stinks. He never farts, but with these new treats
Good Luck @JenBainbridge let us know how you get on. I think ill ve investing in a camera for when Rolo gets decrated haha.
I just cried all the way to work. This morning I took him for a walk and he ran straight to the car thinking he was going to see Janine. Then when I left he sat behind the baby gate staring at me like I've never felt so mean. Luckily I have the best in laws ever and they're going to check on him for a few hours over dinner time and keep him company. Then I'll be back about half 5 so the longest he'll be left is around 3 hours. Meeting a new daycare lady on Thursday so fingers crossed it goes well so I can avoid this awful feeling. He's too special to be left alone
Oh no. No I feel really bad for joking about your destroyed house. Please don't worry, Stanley will be fine (even though he'll try to make you feel guilty for days). X
O Don't feel bad! I'm just a big soft arse when it comes to Stanley, anything I think might upset him devastates me! OH says I'll be the most over protective mum in the world My house probably will be destroyed. I'm waiting to hear he's jumped the baby gate and eaten my couch
I know how you feel! I hope the daycare meeting goes well. Dont worry he will snooze the day away, Labs have guilt eyes. Its their best weapon. My OH thinks im stupid when it comes to Rolo, And my friends think its like im talking about a human baby. Well he is my fur baby! It totally okay!
Nasty man in the park yesterday was really horrible towards me & Rolo, I was picking up poop & Rolo evaded my grip on his lead. He ran up to this stranger and his Shit-tzu, Rolo was very playfully, wagging tail. Didn't jump up and the man proceeded to USE HIS FOOT to move Rolo away, He got harder each time and by time and I ran up and said EXCUSE Me, i was about to apologize to you for him getting away from me but do NOT use your foot to move my dog, he is clearly a puppy and he said ''He jumped up at me''. Rolo did no such thing, my eye was on him all the time. His Shitzu was agressive and snappy. Should of moved his dog instead of kicking mine.
I know the feeling, I cried the first time we left Quinn too. Quinn has a few full days home alone a week (and we have a dog walker come in). Each morning after our walk, she gets breakfast in her food dispensing toy, a frozen kong in her dish, a treasure hunt of treats hidden all over and a rubber toy that she has to work some more treats out of. She literally cannot wait for me to leave now, and doesn't even look up. The whole thing takes her over an hour to get through (no time for destruction!). One morning I prepped everything before our walk and she wouldn't budge off the front step - it definitely helps with my guilt knowing she loves the morning routine!
I really feel for Holly at the moment. The kitchen/breakfast room rebuild is in its third week. We've had to move her bed. She's having her meals in a different place. Her daily routine has changed because of the arrival times of the workmen. There are strange noises coming from the kitchen disturbing her afternoon nap. We can't play chase around the house as the dining room is full of the kitchen contents. And she takes it all in her stride with her usual patience. That's why I love my Labrador.
