Uh @Emily if it's 37 degrees why did you have a jumper tied around your waist?! And it's weird how it's so hot in Australia yet over the Tasman I had a blanket over me on the sofa during the evening, twas chilly! Well, no wet patches in the crate this morning so phew. A step in the right direction! But she did wake me at 4 am for an urgent poo *bleary eyes*
Went to meet a day care lady for Stanley, she was nice. He's going next week for a trial and we'll see how he gets on. Hopefully, he'll be ok. Although I'm starting to think maybe a dog walker is the way to go as he seems to have been perfectly ok this week on his own with people popping in and out. Kitchen is still going strong
There's no reason why you couldn't do a little of all three, Jen. A couple of days at daycare, a couple of days with a dog walker, and a day with your dad popping in? btw, Dawn thinks Stanley is just the bees knees. She LOVED cooing at him when he was on the fridge in December, and now she's just come in and seen your avatar and started cooing again. #1 Stanley fan right here!
I think that's what we'll end up doing Haha he will be pleased! Tell her if she would like his pawtograph he would be happy to oblige
I went to met a friend it was snowing a bit but we had a nice walk. My clothes were clean but they are now filthy because puppies jumped all over me and then another dog wee'd up my legs. My clothes are in the washing machine again. On the sofa all snuggly with Rory.
Puppy class today. Mollie has got 'sit, 'down' 'wait' and 'upsit' and recall from other pups - no problems. Now we are working on 'stand' and physical checks (eyes, ears, paws and botty). She's not keen on these at the moment and will need to have lots as a Guide Dog Mummy ...
I bought a cute, titchy dummy as keyring. Benson thought he was very clever in bringing my keys back to me, with the dummy in his mouth..and the keys dangling down...I had my heart in my mouth as I have paid out twice to get my car keys repaired because he had chewed them. Now I am wondering if my cute, mini dummy on a key ring was such a great idea.....
Hehe! That didn't take long! Be warned though.....think it was a fire dog mini dummy. Will dig out the link in a mo
today a total stranger with a new beagal puppy told me that she used to have a Labrador but it was stupid and that she didn't want another lab because they are stupid. The reply in my head was" but only stupid people have stupid dogs," but I was so good and I just Said really I had a few and I never found it to be so.I can see who must have been the brain's in that firm. She also told me that if her husband was there he'd be rolling around with rory and play fighting with him. Er No ! Not ever. All i can think of is an evil faery has tattooed annoy this woman on my face while i slept probably tinkerbell Moo. It does make me tired though I am constantly stunned by the lack of understanding some people have for dogs. Don't they just look at what they have living in their homes?
Never heard anyone refer to Labs as stupid! I would have said something like "funny, I've never heard anyone say that before and Labs are used as Guide dogs, police dogs, search and rescue dogs, hunting dogs, therapy dogs and more, so you must not have had a lab!"
I played fetch with Coco & a ball-chucker this morning. On throw number 3, I dropped my mitten, which distracted him, so he missed the fact that the ball had gone to the right of the previous 3. We tried "find it" and he really did try, but I had to go and get it. It is time to teach him direction.
I'm always shocked by how rude dog walkers are. I would never dream of making a comment about someone's dog or their training (or that he's running riot with me trailing behind ). The amount of comments I've had about breed, or the fact he's not neutered or that's he's small. People have no manners and like you say no understanding!
The thing was Rory was beautifully behaved came when called Sat at my side and was a total angel, but I love that he always rises to the occasion. I always so proud of him and it just proves them wrong people always tell me Moo is small but she's an awesome powerhouse of tiny Labrador mischief .
I went out tonight to meet up with a friend. Apparently Axel slept by the front door, curled up in a ball, waiting for me to come home all night. OH kept calling him over to come cuddle, he would come and stay for a few minutes then trot off to the door again.
