I am so very sorry, that is dreadful for both Oban and yourself. I do consider myself lucky. I know I can cope with anything thrown at me now. Still sad that she is riddled with arthritis and she will never be fit enough to fell walk high into the Lakes, and all the other super strenuous activities I had in mind, on the massive plus side we can walk for an hour to our favourite pub across the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. In fact once I think about it there is so much she can do. Today we are off to our favourite doggie cafe and a walk along the river. It is raining so much this morning but it still feels like the sun is shining. Thank you all for your fabulous support it's made a world of difference to me. Claire xx
Brilliant to read. Well done you, its a long difficult journey putting that problem right, but your dedication has certainly paid off for Mabel
Claire I am so happy to read your Mabel update. What a stressful and long journey you have both been on, but with your tender, thoughtful and loving care you have got Mabel to where she is now. So what if she can't trek up mountains, you can still do lots of things together and have fun I wish you lots of fun together, the world is your Lobster! as we like to say in our house xxx
Although it's a pity she won't be able to do the fell walks with you, the pub walk, doggie cafe and river walk don't sound bad substitutes! It's lovely that you've worked so hard to achieve that.
Claire and Mabel.....a big hug from me and a huge WOOF from Cooper.....you both came through this with flying colors! Enjoy your walks and your doggie.
