Hi everyone, and hello from Ontario. I'd like to introduce myself (Jazzmynn), and our adorable little yellow lab Ariel. She's 5.5 months old and is doing fantastic! I came across this site in the fall, and have been lurking and doing some reading since then. Many thanks to all those who post to help the rest of us along. We've had a dog of some sort or other (labs, mixed), over the last 32 years. When we had to put our beloved Jazzy down January 2016, we told ourselves that we weren't going to go through that again. BUT....it was so quiet in the house, and we missed having a dog so much. Hence, Ariel! Ariel is an absolute peach - she's quiet, usually quite well behaved and hardly ever barks. Our family is making sure she's a social butterfly (dog park, retirement residence to see my mom, waterfront walks), and I've already put her name on a waiting list to train for a pet therapy dog when she's 2 years old. I have to admit I got a chuckle when I was reading the thread on dog weights. We knew Ariel was small when we got her, which is exactly what we were hoping for. At 8 weeks she was 8.5 pounds, and now she's a whopping 31 pds. lol. The vet figures she may top out at 55-60 pounds, and has no concerns about her size whatsoever. I look forward to continuing to read through the threads, and meet a lot of you as I go along. Cheers, Jazzmynn
Hi Jazzmynn and Ariel, welcome to the forum from Hattie 9 years and our rescue boy Charlie 6 years. Ariel (what a beautiful name) sounds adorable. x
Hello and welcome to the forum from Fred (3), Annie (1) and me here in the UK. Have you any photos of Ariel for us?
Hi and welcome Harley is also a petite lab and we are very grateful, as it is there is not enough space on the bed.
We chose the names Ariel and Jazzmynn for our pups as we're Disney fans - they're named after 2 of the Disney princesses.
