Welcome @catrionas from Hattie 9 years and our rescue boy Charlie 6 years. You are a lucky family getting Alfie as he has so much character. Enjoy him and please keep in touch xx
Thanks, Emily, for keeping us entertained with Toby's exploits and thanks too to Catrionas for joining the forum. I hope we're going to hear more about Alfie/Alfonso in his new home. What a star for passing the cat test!
Welcome @catrionas! I hope you stick around so we can hear more of Alfonso's (love the name!) exploits when he arrives in the UK. We'd lov to see photos of him as he continues to develop Now now, Emily, what's happened to Toby/Alfie's voice? I think that all needs to be repenned in his own words...
Yay! So glad a happy ending is in the works. Welcome to the forum, @catrionas! We will be very interested to see if life with Alfie is as "interesting" as life with Toby
Yes, you're absolutely right - Toby does need to chime in again soon! I feel he has a lot to say about recent developments.
Alfie is a lovely name for him. So glad you are here catrionas - I can't wait to hear Toby/Alfie's further adventures
Welcome to the forum @catrionas , so glad you popped up to say hello. We've all become rather attached to Toby/Alfie & it will be delightful to be able to share his adventures in his new home - I wish you lots of luck and love with Alfie.
Cuddling may be Toby (Alfie)'s superpower, but last night we discovered that thunderstorms are NOT. I woke up at about 2am realising that the habitual little warm lump at my back had disappeared. I called his name - no answer. I turned the light on, looked around the bedroom - nothing. Where was Toby? The only place he could have been was under the bed and sure enough, there he was. Poor little man! So back up into the bed he went, under the covers and in my arms with his nose stuck into my armpit. There he snoozed away happily the rest of the night. So thunderstorms are scary, but once again the power of a cuddle (and a big thick duvet) prevails!
Good news for @catrionas - I have discovered the Toby/Alfie Holy Grail (aka the mysterious power of the duvet)! Behold, nearly two hours later and he is STILL snuggled in. And this was through my indoor exercise routine, in which he usually (actively) participates. REALLY actively. All I've seen this morning is one hairy eyeball squint as if to say, "Ja, ja, querida, you do your thing...I'm doing mine".
My son Adam wants him here NOW counting down the days............ Alfie I will buy you a duvet of your own!!
