I found another lump on Moo today. It feels like a lypoma it's bigish. It does feel like a fatty lump it moves and I can feel the edges so I'm not going to worry too much. I cut her toe nails much to her disapproval. She's got a bad nail it's split and looks a bit like SLO so I was a bit shocked she's Doug's 1/2 sister so she could develop it. So I'll just keep an eye on that too She's had a lovely brush and she came shopping today she was her usual perky shelf but got a bit tired and stiff on way back. She's an old girl and i love her so much she just makes me smile. She doesn't look 14 she still got a shiney coat and she's got her wonderful up yours I'm doing this attitude, but time is marching on and I need to make her time with us as nice as possible. It lovely still having her she's so funny. i just look at her and i just laugh she knows i can't resist her.
I can't get over all these posts about dogs sharing beds, Ripple is such a wriggle fidget when he's in his own bed , and is constantly in and out of it, that I cannot imagine sharing a bed with him. How do you ever get to the stage that your dog sleeps peacefully enough to allow you to get enough sleep? (This would be Ripple in my bed).
My boy is like that...he starts out on the bed by my feet, then gets too hot and lays on the floor, then at some point he'll get back in bed at my feet again, then on the floor, then sometime around 6am he'll get back on the bed to give morning kisses, then snuggle down next to me so that I'm spooning him and sleep for the next hour like that til we have to get up
You don't. You learn to live with broken sleep when the dog stands up, shakes and plops back down again several times a night.
Stanley got his cards and birthday presents off his girlfriend today. Little stud that he is #ABSOLUTELAD
Something amazing happened. I can run a fast as Moo you should have seen her face. The absolute disgust was palpable . Too slow my darling black diamond too slow. You can't out run me now when you decide to bolt to eat Rory's poo. Ha ha ha
We had to put one of our hens to sleep today. I try to be pragmatic when it comes to the chooks, it definitely gets easier (this is #3, you should have seen me when we lost #1) but I hate that I couldn't do more for her. Birds are tricky to keep, unless it's something obvious there's not much you can do other than wait and see until the decision becomes obvious, but she was obviously way sicker than I'd realised and had just been running on fumes for the past few weeks. You don't want your pets to suffer and it sucks to realise that she was, even though I'd been keeping an eye on her because I knew that something was "off". RIP Esmeralda.
Ah Coco was such a good boy this morning. A young (grown pup) little dog - poss a yorkie x poodle? lives up the road. We've never met it, but this morning mum, children & dog were in front garden when we were returning from our walk. The little dog, Pippa, came flying out to say hello, with mum in hot pursuit. She asked if Coco was friendly, "yes" so they were allowed to sniff and greet - so sweet. But the pup was running circles around us in the middle of the road, Coco was a bit rough and made it YIP! OH had to cling onto Coco who was up for a riotous game by now. Mum scooped Pippa up. Then the little girl came over and asked "can I stroke him (Coco)?" Yes, you can - I'm dreading Coco jumping up and knocking her over and hissed to OH "make sure he doesn't jump!" - But Coco sat down nicely while the girl stroked him.
