Well, he slept from 11:00 until 03:00 when he needed to go out again for a pee, and then he woke up for good at 05:45... So not much sleep was had, but it'll be better tonight I'm sure. At the very least I shall be so shattered that I'll fall asleep immediately- and it's OH's turn to get up tonight!
Hmm....we "borrow" puppies now and again from Sophie's work. I think I prefer them all grown up Please don't chuck me off the puppy boards
I particularly love him when he's asleep... He learns VERY quickly - I give two pips on the whistle when I give him his food, and now he runs to me for a treat in the house or the garden when I blow the whistle
Second night was worse than the first... but I remain optimistic that tonight will be better! He understands that we like him to pee outside on the grass, and obligingly does so when we put him outside. His is a bit gangly (of course), and I worried about him slipping on our wooden floors, so we got an old rug down from upstairs and put that in the living room. Woohoo, he obviously thought, my new parents are so kind and loving - indoor grass!!! . Never mind, we'll just increase the vigilance from now on (and we've also put a baby gate on the living room door and he's only allowed in there when we with him). Poppy is very much the older sister - tells him off for bothering her too much, but is tolerant of him adoring her from afar, and allows him to approach her in a polite and restrained fashion. This morning as I was getting ready to go to work they were having a very tentative game of tuggy... I'm sure they are going to be just fine together. They look terribly sweet together, the same sort of colouring!
Hope tonight is a little better Karen but Merlin sounds adorable and Poppy is being so good. Not bad for day 2 I'd say! xx
