The plan was that this crate would fit on the back seat of the car with Merlin in it, next to Poppy who is strapped in with a Kleinmetall harness. Sigh. Obviously the crate will be too small by then, and the larger crate that we have is too big - it'll fit on the back seat, but no room for Poppy. Have to re-think this... I don't like either of the dogs being in the back part of the car (it's an estate) - it gets hot back there, and I worry about them being hurt in an accident. Maybe we can get Merly to wear a harness too and strap him in, but I think he would chew the seatbelt...
Can you lay the back seats flat for the larger crate? You can also buy fans to clip onto hand rails, seats or the outside of their crate. x
Roof box? We are seriously thinking about doing this for our next long trip. Cheaper than a new car x
Ooh, I like your thinking! I hadn't thought of that... Not sure Poppy and Merlin would enjoy being in the roof box, but I'm sure we can train them to a 'settle' in there... . . . JOKING!!!
