Niva & Xalli, sisters, are 14 weeks old and are 10 kg. each. By the way, we feed them 3 times a day (Vet orders, besides being, according to their weight, the guidelines on each food package side) and we give them each 1.5 cups for breakfast, 1 cup for mid-day lunch and half cup for dinner. They are growing very fast...
13 months today and 21.3 kg, that's a 200g weight loss in the past month so it looks like she's more or less at her adult weight. I've got a small and slinky one it seems.
You never know, she may fill out a bit more! Quinn has started filling out in her chest and looking less slinky recently (about 15 months we started noticing - she's now 17.5 months). She has put on 4lbs in the last 3 months, but is still quite trim! She's 60lbs now.
Libby was 1 last Friday and today weighs 20.4kg, a loss of 800g from when she was 10 months. She looks very ribby but the vet says she's fine! Have you had any advice on feeding more or anything?
She hasn't actually seen a vet since her anal glands visit over a month ago, and he didn't bring up her weight then. I do take her to the vet's to be weighed every couple of weeks, but there's no vet involved, just the receptionist logging her weight in her file. I switched to adult food at 12 months so have been trying to find the right daily ration. I started quite conservative (probably why there has been a weight loss), but have upped it by 20g over the past week, and I'm going to up it by another 10g from tomorrow. She's a small Labrador and probably always will be, but I would like a bit more padding on the ribs. Maybe she just metabolises her food really well, I really don't know. If you think Libby's looking ribby as opposed to just slim, then you could try increasing her rations gradually and see how you go? It's tough trying to figure it out, because you don't want to over-feed obviously, but our girls probably still have a little growing to do. Your vet's probably like mine and is just happy to see a thin Lab!
Ariel will be 28 weeks tomorrow and weighed 38 pounds this morning. Petite little girl and we love it! No ribs showing, just a nice small girl so far. She went swimming for the first time last night and did really well, then gained enough confidence to "slither" off our dock to get her ball....priceless!
Mabel is 8w1d and a teeeeny 2.44kg She's a working lab and has been vet checked, no ribs showing, just a dinkster!
Rocky was 2.3Kg at 8 weeks. 2.7kg at 10 weeks. 6.3kg at 13 weeks 11.1kg at 17 weeks - this was last week He is slim and vet seems to think he is a slow and steady grower, with massive paws - they are very happy with how he looks, his coat etc. Initially we were all concerned when he was only 2.7kg at 10 weeks but we think this was a combination of not enough food or good quality food so we changed his food then, which seems to have made all the difference. He is full of fun and great at puppy classes and has certainly changed the mood in our house. I can't imagine him not being around now.
