I reckon we are over the spay recovery time, just about ! Nell has been an absolute star, barely a whimper from her and pretty compliant with her attire too ! The ten days have flown by , her wound looks great, healed so well and she is now allowed more freedom . So please now that we didn't delay , that we bit the bullet and got it over and done with . Watch out Sam , she`s ready to rumble xx

Stanleys come back from Doggy day care limping :( she's not sure why. She said he was fine, then he had a sleep and when he woke up he was limping.

He's definitely not himself. My heart hurts.

I rang the vets but it was closed and my advice was to rest it overnight and if there's no improvement take him in tomorrow.

    My heart hurts :(

How's Stanley this morning, Jen? With any luck he just needs a couple of days of quiet. I live in fear of the sudden limp.

I'm sure all will be well  my lab will need to be neutered as well (he has one undescended) but I have another 7 months I can wait to do it, thankfully.

    Thanks everyone :)

He's about 75% better I'd say. I rang the vets again this morning and they said because he could put it down now and seemed to be much better just to keep him rested for a few days and see how it gets on as it sounds like a pulled muscle or something rather than anything serious.

Vet just said to keep an eye on it and if he starts limping again anytime soon to take him straight in.

He doesn't seem as sad and his waggy tail was back this morning and he did the breakfast dance so hopefully he'll be good in a few days.:)

Its the challenge , cutting Nells hair day ! Her hair grows at an alarming rate of knots ( literally knots ) so , bite the bullet I must . I`m not going to bath her , its only 12 days since her spay , but have the scissors and clippers at the ready, now to catch her ! She is like a slippery eel , wriggling about , not snapping but oh boy , is she a challenge and a half and no use using soothing words, because they literally fall on deaf ears ! x
