Marley will be 7months next week, currently weighing in at 74lbs (34kg). I think he's going to be a big boy!

Finn at 8 months is 46 lbs! That's 20.8 kg. Little pipsqueak. I think he could drop 1 pound and be perfect, I want to see a bit more of that first rib, especially since he's had this recurring limp I want him as trim as possible.

    8 weeks 7.5 kg
9 weeks 8.5 kg (I think that is what they said today -but a kg weight gain in a week seems like a lot!)

Wow, that seems remarkably heavy for a young puppy. Is he very tall?

He is around 26 to 27 inches as best I could measure as he is very active. Both his parents were big.

Riggs was 21.85kg at 20 weeks on Friday.
He's the biggest of our puppies to date and he gains a kilo a week, easy.

    He's a lean pup too.

Harley will be 9 months on Friday 30th June 2017 - she weighed in at 28.3kgs this Friday. I dont expect her to get much heavier or larger.

Hank at his last puppy exam @ 17 weeks was 37.4 lbs/16.9 kg. That was 2 weeks ago.....

The vet was very quick to warn me that he believes he is going to be on the larger end. Does English vs American make a lot of difference?

It's all generalisations. Show-bred dogs tend to have far thicker bones than field bred. Field bred can be a lot taller. Lots of people (myself included) are surprised when they see how small a show Lab should actually be. Most Labs you see are neither one nor the other, and tend to be far taller, with thicker bones. These are often confused with show type, but they are not. Regardless of show vs field, you need to ensure that you ignore any stereotypes and feed your dog based on how he looks and feels. You should see a noticeable waist when you look from above, and a strong up-tuck when viewed from the side. When you run your hands along his side, you should feel each individual rib with no pressure applied. It's quite desirable to even be able to see the outline of the last rib or two, when they reach maturity.
