Hello. Some advice please. My yellow lab managed to get into my daughter's annexe
Last Tuesday and eat the contents of her kitchen bin. Wednesday morning she was sick brought up an intact ketchup sachet. Since then she has been sick a little once more this morning but not much. She has been okay in herself although not 100 percent. My main concern is she is eating normally but nowhere near the normal amount of poo coming out. Although some is. I took her to the vet Saturday morning he took a conscious xray and said it looked like she had something in there but it looked to be at the start of her large bowel and we should wait and see. Today she has had 300g of burns and produced a tablespoon of poo. She normally is a prolific pooer. I've booked her in tomorrow night again at vets. I am not sure what to do we are going on holiday to norfolk with the dogs at the weekend. Any advice or suggestions as to how to proceed please. Thank you

I would phone the vet with your concerns and check they're happy to wait until tomorrow. Best of luck, I hope she recovers quickly :)

Thank you. I spoke to the vet this morning and he was happy to watch and wait unless she was very I'll or being very sick. She is neither very well or very sick just not right. I am going to take her for another walk and see if we can get some more poo out .

Could you get her to drink a bit more water? Sometimes water helps things move through the gut. Perhaps some chicken soup to encourage her to drink.

What a worry for you. Particularly with a holiday looming.
Does your daughter have any idea what was in her bin? Some things obviously are more a worry than others.
It can be many days before illegal items are vomited or pooped.
Hoping there can be more definitive news next time you see the vet :(

Thank you, yes we are very worried. No unfortunately my daughter was knee deep in dissertation and uni work so couldn't really help. To be fair Nettle has form for eating all sorts so I am only guessing it was the bin. And not something from the woods. Hopefully the vet will be able to help a bit more tomorrow. X
