Oh wow!!! Little Dawson has just gone to sleep (maybe a nap more like) and he's been a true member of our family for the past two hours. He seemed a little unsure but not overawed at first and then settled down to have a sniff and a lick. He did a wee on the floor and I rubbed his pad in it to get the scent. We then put down some newspaper in the front room and he did a poo!!! He's just made a noise and moved his tail so maybe dreaming. His hub is in the frontroom and no doubt I will have the pleasure of moving it soon so we can start the ardous process of getting him used to sleeping away from the crowd overnight. We do not have a blimmin clue to be honest but love that little bundle like we've known him forever. Am so proud to be a member of this wonderful club!!! God bless all Labs
Ha Ha.He's awake and back in action. The oldest son has come back from Rugby and he is being licked and sniffed to death. He's got three people all doting on him right now and I'm having a quick breather lol!!!!
Congratulations! Hope he sleeps well tonight. (Hey, Dawson, you can now begin implementing your plan to end up on the human bed )
Welcome home Dawson. May day one of your adventures start proper and may your dad keep us all updated with photos and posts
He;s gone in his crate and is fast asleep but the crate is in the front room and I'm watching tele so will have to adjust that quickly. I will leave links tomorrow for youtube videos and take some photo's for this years competition. Thanks so far for all the nice messages.
Well little man is asleep by my side and I am able to get on with a few things ie collect my middle son's 18th birthday present. It's a strange day what with showering love on Dawson but need to get out and buy Michael his first pint as well!!!!
Welcome home Dawson. You said so I will take the liberty of addressing this Why did you do that? I've never heard of that. The idea of rubbing their noses in their mistakes, Note: MISTAKES, is outdated. What we do now is quietly clean it up and use an enzymatic cleanser to remove all scent so he won't be enticed to go there again. Now I'm guessing his little foot has left pee scent everywhere he walked afterwards. Can you clean where he walked?
Hello and welcome! And congratulations on having an 18-year old. Well done! So - your child graduated into adulthood and you celebrated by buying a Labrador puppy... Glutton for punishment, I'd say!! (But then I might be a tad jaded because my little darling has just been renovating my garden pond... Bits of plants, mud and water all over the lawn, on the doorstep and in the house... Pond NOT looking good... Puppy asleep in his bed looking angelic; OH in deep trouble as he was in charge while I popped out to run some errands... Ah, you've got it all in front of you!!! )
Hi there .no I rubbed the plastic pad in it and then put the pad to his nose and then left the pad down outside the room because he was sniffinf around.God forbid I'd ever rub his nose it it.Glad you asked the question so I could clear that matter up.
