My kind neighbour with her little labradoodle knocked on the door an hour ago and offered to take monty out for a walk. She's never done this before so i was suprised but extremely grateful as I'm having a duvet day feeling very under the weather.
Monty had his dog walker in this morning but this extra walk will have tired him out for the night now and i can go back to bed for a snooze. As a bonus, she said he was as good as gold and would happily take him again :D
I tried hard to hide my astonishment and said, yes, we're getting there with him slowly.

Shadow forward-rolled up one of our terraces this evening. Unintentionally. Came straight to me, limping, for cuddles and sympathy, which he got in spades. Then J turned up and Shadow ran straight over to him, as if nothing had happened. He's a dick.

Coco walked past 2 dogs this morning :D It all happened so quickly, so I didn't have time to get my sausage-lure out, I just shortened the lead (because the road was a narrow bend, no pavements and a car was about to pass between us), showed him the crumb of liver cake I was still clutching from earlier games, and jollied him along with some squeaky words of encouragement - he was so good, despite the younger dog, a Golden Retriever, barking at us (I think it was a frustrated bark - we've met it before, it wants to greet). I feel confident he could have managed it on a longer lead.

I tend to stick to my firm favourite of duct tape. It's waterproof and sturdy. Many a ski boot and glove has been repaired with Duck.

It all went wrong :( the high corn and the rain filled my wellies from the top and I had wellies that wet and full of water they farted when I walked. The tape then blew and the water foamed fartily out of the hole. 6 miles of squirty soaking wet boots making fart noises. They were so full of water they suction developed and i couldn't get them off I thought I was going to have to cut my way out:D

A year ago today since I found this forum and a LOT of help.

We'd had Stanley a couple of weeks and I was supposed to be going to see Beyoncé and I couldn't go because of Stanley. That was a major low point!

But I'm so glad I've found this forum - it's so nice to have people understand the highs and lows of being a lab owner!

    Thanks guys! :D

This morning, Luna jumped onto the bed and laid down on my pillow. Sounds cute, but my head was on that pillow. My puppy is trying to smother me in my sleep.

Yesterday when I got home from work, it was obvious that Quinn has a new spot...on our bed. The evidence was an empty kong and pillows all over the place! In the 6 months she has been de-crated, she always eats her kong and sleeps on the couch waiting for us. I'm going to have to put something over the bed so kong filling doesn't get on the bed now :puke:

Stanley got a personalised 'S' cupcake from his girlfriend Mila today.

I hope he's happier about it than he looks

His face is saying "I don't think I can stay here and not eat it for much longer! Please tell me I can eat it now!"

I just showed OH Stanley's photo @JenBainbridge and he said "oh, is that not Xena" They really are similar, though.
