When Merlin (now coming up to 16 weeks) first came home, he had rather runny poos and terrible flatulence. We think the (very expensive) kibble the breeder had sent home with him, and that I continued to purchase, actually didn't agree with him very well. We slowly swapped him over to a different kibble, and that seemed to sort out the stinky farts and loose stools. That said, puppies very often do get an upset tummy for a couple of days when they go to their new home. If you have any questions, do ask!!
My wife's name is Rachael I didn't know you were on here and you must remember I said no upstairs This is the eternal question..where does he sleep??? I really don't know what to do as my opinion is I do not want dogs upstairs.He is in the frontroom at present but the kitchen is adjacent to the outhouse and I presume if he needs to go to the toilet he will go in the outhouse. Hark at me the canine expert who really doesn't know his backside from his elbow right now.
Sounds like Dawson has landed with a super family... in terms of sleeping arrangements, we tried out a few different places before we worked out what was right for us. Easy access to outside is great, I guess it's a balance between him having a quiet space to sleep in and also feeling part of the family. Probably why many of the forum doggies on here have multiple beds in many rooms of their home
I fixed that for you too Puppies and dogs really want to sleep where their people are. But not everyone wants their dog in their bedroom.... That's fine as long as the pup/dog gets plenty of people time during the day. Most people do end up relaxing the rules they start with though.

Yes, Hubby had a strict no dogs on the bed rule. Which turned to 'only allowed on bed during the day' rule. To 'only allowed on bed for a few minutes at night' rule to now Axel snuggled in between us taking up more than half the room and we wouldn't have it any other way
