Gosh, didn't know this was the case. Had naively assumed what you didn't know you couldn't declare and would therefore get (at least some) insurance.

Wow we should count our lucky stars, our stray rescue is fully insured, but they didn't ask if she was a stray or what her history was at all. I didn't even know this was an issue until you mentioned it. She's with Vetsure.

Stanleys cost us over £200 so far this month - bearing in mind it's only the 1st he is definitely one of our biggest expenses.

    Worth every penny :D

Ella is 2 years and 3 months old and it appears that she's finally got a proper lab tail!

    I'm little late here, but...

    :( Oh no!

Something similar happened to me once years ago (2003?) and it cost me $1800 to recover my precious photos. Those people know they have you by the b**ls and can make you pay whatever they want.

This probably explains why I now have my pics in the cloud and in hard drives literally stashed everywhere (car, house, my messenger bag). And a couple times a year I update the ones stashed in different countries (US, Germany). I don't care what else I lose, but it would kill me to lose my dog photos.

I hope you get yours all back!

I drove 1.5 hours to get to a DRC (German Retriever Club) show today. I went last year and it was awesome...tons of Labs and a good smattering of all the other retrievers as well.

Today....3 Labs. I saw THREE Labs. And a billion very lovely, very big, very white Goldens. Quite a few Flat Coats and Chessies. BUT THREE LABS. Sigh. I don't know if they showed at a different time and then immediately left so I missed them, but it was very disappointing. I didn't think I was going to find a German breeder or anything (I'm 95% sure I'm headed to the UK for that), but I still was looking forward to taking photos, talking to people and above all, petting the dogs...as I did last year.

Oh well, onward and upward. I think it's time to stop shows and follow up on the great leads some of you lovely Forum people (and one in particular :) ) have given me.

Took Coco on a trip to Peel - last year we did the same - he lunged and lunged at dogs and spilled OH's crab bap all over the floor. We were both in the bad books. This year - well what a transformation! We sat on the same bench with a crab bap & Queenies. Coco sat good as gold. He saw lots of dogs and lunged at none. He greeted dogs politely. AND he had his first taste of ice cream. A very successful day. All is boding well for the Agricultural Show in 4 weeks. I'm feeling confident.

We're working up to a Visit to a Café.

(I'll put some pics on the Photos board)

Casper came to is with no medical history at 5.5 yo. We had him fully insured with Petplan with no problems at all. We have put in a few rather expensive claims which have been handled without the slightest quibble.

I stood on the slipway & OH stood below me on the beach, shouting POO BAG! POO BAG! I went down & picked up a lovely, slimy, odd coloured poo at the harbour this afternoon. That was Coco's illicit beef fat showing up, I guess.

So is it still under guarantee? If so, your data recovery should be free, with any luck. I hope you manage to get is sorted soon. I'm hoping all my photos are backed up on a cloud somewhere, but then there are all those older ones which are on my external hard drive...

Nell must be the sweetest-smelling dog in the country (in between 'accidents', of course!). I hope she appreciates it! :)

We went to our first local dog show it was pants it was too hot and Rory was just not into it. He forgot his name how to walk on I lead everything. It was just too hot and I was feeling a bit weird because my hairs falling out a bit and my kind hairdresser had done a cut which hides it. But my scalps so itchy and sweaty that I messed it up:Dso I wanted to go home.things don't normally bother me but I was scared id get a sun burned scalp. I rang OH for dust off but a friend Said she'd take me home which was so nice of her. Wished I'd stayed at home though. I just felt so isolated and not part if the human race. Just an observer. Saw some lovely dogs though that always helps.:)

Yes, to clarify , Millie was an older dog , former stray . I enquired with Sams insurer about adding her , they wanted £65 per month . I did ask a few more , quotes were between £80 and £100 per month which I found unacceptable , so we just ensured that we had a little pot for emergencies , thank goodness ! Ironically , Tesco have added Nell for under £8 per month, despite her us being her fourth home in 2 years , crazy .
