Hi Dave, just spotted this - I look at some of the dog friendly Facebook pages.
I noticed there is a Wales one, and they have a website
    http://www.dogfriendlywales.com/
    Could be of some help?

Sorry Dave, don't know Trecco Bay. But how long is your journey? If you want to make a stopover to stretch legs and let Dawson have a safe run on your way there, we are only 10 minutes from J23A of M4 and we've a big garden - feel free to call in!

(Mind you, by then you'd only have another hour to travel so you'd probably just want to get on down there.....)

Blimey the kndness of some people never fails to amaze me!!! Thank you for that kind offer but we have already decided to go to Newbury and visit my nan's grave and have a quick peep at the Kennet/Avon Canal to psyche ourselves up for an Autumn cycling trip That's two hours from here round the M25 and M4 and then just under two hours (crossing permitting.)
    to Trecco Bay Porthcrawl..

    Thanks again Dave
