Cassie has been for her annual booster and check up today, and I feel so pleased with her behaviour in the surgery, after what has been going on with her lead grabbing etc. The waiting room was busy but she sat like a good girl, despite wanting to say hello to other dogs, no pulling lunging or barking, everyone was amazed that a young Labrador could be so calm! If only they knew! But never mind, I'll take it! We were ages in the consulting room and she was so patient and allowed herself to be thoroughly handled. I discussed phantom pregnancy and it's effects of course. I feel so bad that I didn't really handle it sensitively enough at the time. But it's a credit to the vets and nurses too, they are very good with them, and you can pop them in to be weighed any time which does help. Just a little thing but it's nice when things go well, especially after recent weeks. She seems to be a little more interested in retrieving too this last week.
I am sure you did but hindsight is a wonderful thing. At the time how were you to know? I hope Cassie is moving into a new phase. It's lovely you had such a good visit to the Vets. Were they able to offer any wise words?
