I had a small birthday party on Thursday and when I took the candles out of the cake (carrot with white icing) I left them on a coffee table...you all know what is coming next...it was cold on Thursday evening so we had a fire going and on Friday we opened that sliding door to air the lounge...and Harls came in, as usualy, but not as usual she helped herself to ALL the candles! H.A.P.P.Y B.I.R.T.H.D.A.Y in now in her yellow labrador tummy. There was very little icing, if any, on the candles and I have been closely watching her. Except for some flatulence, she has been eating, drinking, playing and behaving normally. I took her to training today and she hasn't displayed any discomfort or signs of distress. As you can see in the photo she was very keen to have some cake on the night already but of course she wasn't allowed so she took the chance when she say it the next day. So I can no longer boast that Harls does not take things off tables.
Happy birthday! And welcome to the Labrador family, Harley! It took you a while, but you're going to love it on the dark side
Sadly, Harley regrets chewing the candles into little pieces...she would have enjoyed the challenge you posed. Oh and she can't spell yet. Mom says she has to be at least 2 years old to spell.
Happy Birthday Harley, Harley that's my favourite cake, it's OK to have a piece of the action sometimes! xx
