Dawson's first walk outside (ish)

    Glad it went well!

    When he stops that's most likely because he's worried. You going ahead to show the way is a good thing to do. Carrying him is good too.

    We took our pup out for his first walk. Only went a little way and appeared quite anxious. Carried for a bit. Overall not bad, however has been very unsettled this evening.

    It's a big deal when all they've know is a much smaller world. You're obviously tuned in to your pup's reactions Sue, which is great, so take your cues from him and expand his comfort zone slowly, at a pace at which he can remain calm. He'll get there in the long run if you take it slow. Carrying him as much as possible is good.
