Our church held an animal blessing this morning. You will see Red sitting with my foot on her lead . It was a lovely service. Red was obsessed with 'hoovering' the ground. I had to stop her as there were loads of young acorns from the nearby tree all over the ground. I had gone armed with my treat bag but she was still intent on eating everything on the ground. If there is something she wants, no amount of me saying 'leave it' works. Really tested my patience this morning . IMG_0469.JPG

    Awwwww!

Good idea to have it outside!

Mollie comes to Church with me every Sunday, she has found it really hard to settle and stands up for every hymn lol.
She was a lot better this morning and, as always, enjoys all the fuss after the service :)

Looks like a lovely service. I also have trouble with jubilee and acorns. It's frustrating now that she has a good recall and can be loose on most of our walks- I have to put her back on her lead when we come to an acorn patch. She's ok if she eats a few but gets diarrhea if she eats a lot. Unfortunately there are still tons of acorns at my sister's lakeside camp.

This is my concern - she has only just got over a horrible diarrhoea episode .

What a lovely thing to do, Cassie is the same about hoovering up whatever premises we happen to find ourselves in. At the moment she's intrigued by hazel nuts. I can imagine it's a worry for you, with her history of diarrhoea.

    Beautiful sunshine.

So lovely! Our blessing of the animals service isn't for a bit yet, but I'm not sure Honey is ready for it (though she definitely needs the blessing :D).

Maybe she's just into the music and wants to show her appreciation! :D

Yes, our rector spoke about why our animals are deserving of a blessing. He mentioned service dogs - made me think of Sky and Hattie (Pets as Therapy dogs) and Mollie (future Guide Dog mummy). A guide dog walked by (a black Lab) as the service was taking place. Our lives are so enriched by animals - it is so hard to understand how anyone can be cruel towards them.
