Hey everybody. I just happened on here from the Labrador Site !. I don't how I never seen this link before, as many times as I have been on the lab site and read the almost daily emails ?, but ..... here I are !!. My name is Carl and my wife's name is Betty and we are the ..... "extremely proud and thankful 'guardian's' of a gorgeous yellow girl named .... Taylor. She turned 7 years old on June 18th ....... and that just happens to be MY birthday too !!! ..... "now that's fate, ain't it" ???.
Hi Carl and a warm welcome to the forum from me in sunny Spain, with my three Labrabeasts, Willow (black girl, 3 yrs), Shadow (yellow boy, 3 yrs) and Luna "Squidge" (choccy girl, 9 months).
Hi and welcome to you, Betty and Taylor! That's a cute picture of her in your avatar cuddling her kitty. I'm a Californian but my family is from St. Louis and West Plains. I spent a lot of childhood summers in good old (very hot) MO. Are you from the part that says "Mizur-uh" (vs. "Mizur-ee") like my parents? That and "waRshing" the clothes always confused me as a kid.
Hi and a warm welcome from the Beanwood Pack! Casper, 8 and a half, Benson 3 and a half and Bramble 18 months old
Welcome Carl, Betty and very beautiful Taylor from Hattie 9 years and our rescue boy Charlie 6 years. xx
Yes, thanks for the welcome .... and especially thanks for the correction on my name !. I've been known by that "handle" for so long and have used it so often, that sometimes I forget that there are some places that it looks really dumb and don't fit !, so I appreciate you fixing my ... "egotistical mistake" ....!!!.
Ok ..... Miss' Betty and Taylor, as well as, I thank you for the kind welcome !. ..... about the picture in my avatar, the gray cat that Taylor is cuddling was named "Junior" and he was a "Russian Blue" .... and he and Taylor were like "twins-connected-at-the-hip", but sadly, Junior fell victim to coyotes .... as did some other cats, that were "dropped off" near our house, when we lived in the country. We used to live on about 13 acres ... more or less, and Taylor and Junior ran over most of those ?. People were frequently dumping cats around our place, and of course, some of those cats were "mother's-to-be" and Taylor would be right there, helping (mom) birth the kittens and keeping an eye on them as they started walking around !. We had Taylor fixed and although she never had any babies of her own .... she took excellent care of the kittens and would have been an outstanding mother !!!. As for myself, I was born in St. Joseph, Mo which is in the northeast part of the state and we always (and I still do) refer to Missouri ... as "Misery" ?. Betty was born in Blue Eye, Mo .... where, half of the town is in Mo and the other half is in Arkansas ! .... and YES, down there they "waRsh" their cloths and call each other ... "You-un's" ???. Good lord .. !! I haven't been paying close enough attention to how long this reply is getting ?. I apologize for .. "babbling" on so long and I'll try to keep these reply's shorter. So thanks for the welcome ....!.
Yeah ..... Hi back at ya "Beanwood Pack" !!. Ya'll sound like a fantastic group ! and them "stair-step" ages look ..... interesting ???. I bet it's a non-stop house hold ?.
Thanks a bunch for the welcome .. and Taylor would like to say Hi to your Hattie and Charlie !. Betty and I say howdy to you all ......
Aw, sorry to hear that Junior is no longer keeping Taylor company. It sounds like he had a happy life with her, though. Yep, this makes me smile. I had nine great aunts (and one largely overpowered great uncle) from the Ozarks and they all said "Y'uns". A lot.
Greetings to you over there !, from the "mid-west" .... Taylor wants me, to ask you, to say Hi to your "Pongo" for her ?. Taylor has never had friends from ... "the old country" or friends from these other far off places. She don't know quite what to think, about all these "new buddies" she's meeting ?.
Welcome to you from Mags, Tatze and Mollie from Manchester UK Tatze is my pet dog, a black Lab and she's four years old. Tatze means 'paw' in German. Mollie is my fourth Guide Dog puppy, a black Lab who is ten months old. .
Pongo bounces and wags and say HI TAYLOR DO YOU WANT TO COME AND PLAY? He hasn't quite got the idea of "transatlantic" or "different continent" or "jetlag". But he thinks Taylor is absolutely beautiful and he would like to be her very best friend please. He also says to tell Taylor to pop over to the "random hoomans" thread if she wants to chat direct, it's a bit on the forum that the dogs have set up for their own conversations . I'm not sure if the link below will work (I'm not as clever as Pongo). https://thelabradorforum.com/threads/random-hoomans-by-our-dogs.17219/ Looking forward to hearing all about Taylor!
