Good luck and sorry to hear about what you are going through! Take it as easy as you can, let us know how you are and what you find out. Not to be nosey honest, just genuine concern.
Glad to hear you're home and that the dogs have been well cared for -I'm sure they gave you a big welcome back.
I've had my towel and tea towel hanging up for a week now without them being 'Rippled'. Do you think that now means I can put the handles back on my kitchen drawers without him opening them and removing the contents?
Oh @SwampDonkey I'm glad it was just the one night in hospital and that you're alright. And how funny that you slept better there than at home - but no Moo and the 3am wake-up call must have something to do with it
Saw the cutiest thing today. I often see a lady in on a mobilty scooter and her sweet ginger staffy girl when I'm out and about. The scooter is going a sensible speed and the staffy trots along with a big grin on her face. Saw her coming in the rain this morning but no staffy! Then I saw her smiling face peeping from the foot well. She had the same rain Mack on as her owner. So adorable really made me smile on my soaking wet walk. Plastic Mack twins.just funny
Coco's got a new girlfriend - a 2 year old Springer called Poppy. We shared a walk with her & her mum this morning. It's the first time ever that we've walked with another dog. The pair of them were beside themselves, chasing, wrestling, playing with a couple of balls, splashing in the mud. I do hope we bump into them again soon. He wasn't so good when Poppy had to go back on lead. He was a pest. I had to leash him too and walk ahead of them.
Now I know why people use cloths for scent work. I thought it would be a neat trick to do it with a pack of cards. I scented just one card and put down a few others. Molly quickly got the hang of it, but she's such a slobbery dog that I now have a very soggy Queen of Clubs!
After reading one of the threads around scentwork, I thought I would have a go with Benson. I find an old syringe and a tin of frankfurters we have kept in the cupboard in case of an emergency (I have no idea what sort of emergency we were expecting...but there you go) I draw up about 10mls of the liquid...pop Benson in the kitchen and out I go. I walk about 3 metres and squirt a bit of sausage water, then move on, squirt a bit more....rinse and repeat.. Unbeknown to me my neighbour was watching utterly mesmerised. When she then spotted me hiding the frankfurter at the end of the driveway she just HAD to come over...the conversation went something like this.. "Morning Kate!! (think Margot...The Good life..) "Err hi..."(me..) "Everything OK?" Margot is eyeing up my syringe... "Yes.. (me) I was just syringing sausage water on the driveway". "Oh of course.." smiles faintly and drifts back to their house... Anyhow, the fact I carefully syringed the driveway made no impression on Benson, who exploded out of the front door straight to my carefully hidden sausage... Sigh...you gotta love having a labrador (or three....) Hmmm...might add this exercise to the October challenge...would LOVE to see those videos!!
@Beanwood I really am laughing out loud at the image of your neighbour watching you syringe your drive! Not to mention an emergency that requires tinned frankfurters!
