Ripple made it through the night last night after 2 broken nights, hopefully his tummy is on the mend now.
Unfortunately my smoke detectors went off 3 times in the night (no idea) and then my daughter rang at six this morning. OH comes home tomorrow after 3 weeks away - hope he appreciates my new 'walking dead' look :D.

Really, Mags...why do you agree to take on these guide dog puppies when you clearly have no enthusiasm for them whatsoever? :wasntme:

    You're nuts!

If it does, I'm the luckiest human alive because my foster dog Tibi pees on my left foot daily during walks.

In France they say if you step in dog poo with your left foot, that's lucky. I never got an answer about what it means if you step in it with your right foot.

I remember an old neigbour of ours who had a whippet we walked sometimes.
I thought it hilarious when it came to puddles - there was Lilly making a bee line for every one of them, whilst the whippet daintily stepped around them all :D:D

It's hard to believe that these two didn't hit off right away. But now they melt my heart

I've had a nice walk. Me and Rory went out early to avoid the heat we saw a chap who's lab had pts a while ago. Its was very sad his dog was a lovely boy who has been struggling with a nasty cancer. He was glowing with happiness because he has a new lab. She's a rescue puppy farm bitch. she's doing really well it was great seeing him so happy again. Made my day:)

My neighbours dog howls everytime they go out always has done he's been howling since 1pm. Its such a sad howl. I spoke to her about it before looks like I might have to approach her again. So upsetting he finds being on his own really stressful. They are now talking about getting another to keep him company :headbang:

Took Coco to lunch today (snack outdoors) in Peel. Walked along the prom, the harbour & around the castle. Coco saw many dogs and did not fuss over them or lunge at them at all. A couple of polite sniffs, but mainly ignored or watched them pass by. Then we met a delightful, very large, yellow Labradoodle (I think). Young. Both dogs went into excited-pull-overdrive & dragged their respective handlers, in the style of water skiers, behind them - towards each other. Me and the other "supporter" were in pleats of laughter. They then sniffed undercarriages politely and moved on. A very successful day..ending up with coffee & cake in a cafe on the way home, where Coco flopped on the mat by the table. He was exhausted from being good for 2 hours.
