Hi! Just saying hi as I've joined to learn as much as I can before we take the plunge into puppy ownership! I hope to learn alot from you guys over the coming months, maybe years, before we bring a little Lab into our family Graham
Hi, welcome to the forum from me, Natalie and Monty my 3 yr old chocolate lab. Look forward to hearing about your new arrival and seeing lots of photos!
Hi from me and Ella in Melbourne, Australia How exciting! Have you any idea of what you're looking for? Rescue or breeder? Boy or girl? Colour? So many decisions
I think I have a pretty decent idea of what I'm after! I just need to learn everything I need to in advance, prepare the house and family, convince the wife and we're away! I'm pretty set on a male, chocolate or yellow most likely. I'm also sure on going the breeder route. Although I think rehoming a rescue is a great thing to do, I'm not sure if its right for us. I'm still obviously open to anything, so we'll see!
Hi Graham a warm welcome from me and my girl Mabel who will be three in November. Very exciting times ahead.
They are wonderful pups and marvellous dogs, which start out as crocodiles! Here is a great article - http://www.thelabradorsite.com/what-to-expect-of-a-new-labrador-puppy/ .
Hi and welcome from me and my two, Lucan 8yrs old and Ash who's just turned into a delinquent teenager at 8mths. Good luck with your search.
Hi @Graham452 , I would definitely go with the advice from Boogie regarding crocodiles. Cassie, who is 16 months was not my first puppy but my first Labrador. I was totally unprepared for the biting, if I had been the early weeks/months with her would have easier to manage. But we got through and it's all a distant memory now.
Hi Graham, I have just recently joined this forum and was welcomed with open arms. We're having a great time with Pippa and couldn't imagine life without her now. It's hard work and a big learning curve for everybody involved, but the rewards are worth it. Welcome and have fun.
Hi and welcome from me and 4 year old girl, Harley. I highly recommend buying The Happy Puppy book as it has everything you need before choosing a pup through to bringing them home and what to expect.
Welcome from me, Wispa (5) and Tuppence (3). I hope it's in months rather than years that we're looking at photos of your puppy!
Hi Graham, welcome to the forum! I'm afraid we have kind of established that we aren't very good at training spouses, but good luck with your puppy! jac
Welcome Graham from Hattie 10 years and our rescue boy Charlie 6 years. Good luck with convincing your wife and eventually getting your new friend x
Hi Graham and welcome! This is a great place to learn about Labradors and the crocopup dangers and all the rest. I came to learn and am still here (and still dogless) a year later. These nice people are very tolerant of me being "The Longest on the Forum without an Actual Dog" - you'll fit right in.
Not for much longer hopefully oh dog less one.....the getting the dog thing obviously Im actually so excited
Hi and welcome from me and my 2 dogs Rory and Moo (she is justified and very ancient). I had so much fun on this forum I don't usually join things but I'm glad I did.
