Hi all.Our little Dawson starts his Classes in just over an hour and we are all looking forward to it. However after breaking into the main food bag two days on the trot he looks like he's eaten a Spacehopper!!! Will let you know how we get on!!
@Dave Bennett So excited for you both!!! I will be eagerly awaiting feedback. Good luck lovely little Dawson!
I'm very jealous - I LOVE puppy class. As in I love it so much that I take OTHER people's puppies to puppy class. Hope you and Dawson had fun!
Hats off to you after you've taken a Labrador puppy to classes, week in, week out. And not cried afterwards. Or had a glass of wine at 1pm on a Saturday cos you really needed it. You may well be a stronger person than I am
Oh no, don't forget I've not had a LABRADOR puppy yet in puppy class! I could sit there all smug and confident with my calm puppy while the Labs acted like complete maniacs. I'll let you know how I feel about puppy class when I do it with a crazy crocopup. In that case I may be joining you with the wine and a cry.
Hi all.No laydown required when vI got back has had a lot to do. Right straight to the point...WHAT GREAT FUN!!!! It was nice that some people joined the class as beginners like ourselves so wasn't so daunting. As the whole clan went there were six of us (including Dawson) and about ten dogs with other people. It was certainly stimulating for us and even though basic stuff there is masses of homework to do for next week. The short five minute bursts are going to be intriguing. It was so strange seeing little man worn out mentally.During the cone heel and side excercise he just laid on the floor and looked at us and that was it he'd had his entertainment for the evening. Fortunately it was the end of the lesson. all in all we enjoyed it but of course more importantly our little friend I think had the time of his life!!! Roll on next week.
Isn't it odd how group training exhausts them?? All they do is a bit of heel walking and recall and maybe a little retrieve - and after an hour they are completely flaked out! Good boy Dawson (and well done, Dave).
