Are bubbles alright to play with?

I bought a box of bubbles and our little man loves chasing them around and bites them enthusiastically.
Just wondered if they are safe?

Good question Dave. We haven't played with Harley with bubbles but I remember buying pet friendly bubbles a few years back for the cats. Or we made the mixture. I can't remember. Hopefully someone who doesn't have a sieve for a memory comes along to answer:)

Well, I don't know the actual answer to this but Ella plays with and bites bubbles when our son Nathan is playing games with them. I've just assumed that the amount of "bubble solution" in an actual bubble is tiny so, as long as Ella only bites a couple of bubbles and doesn't drink any spare liquid it's probably OK. That's not backed up by anything other than anecdotal evidence though, sorry.

We do it occasionally and it's never caused Molly any tummy problems.

Harley loves chasing and biting bubbles, I just limit how much she does it.

I know there are special solutions just for dogs, but I've never bought them ,just used standard bubble stuff for a few minutes at a time, occasionally through the summer. I'm with @Emily that the amount is so negligible, I would not give it a second thought.

One of my previous labs loved bubbles; we had a bubble machine and pet friendly bacon flavoured bubbles. Ripple wasn't at all interested, however one of the cats loved chasing the bubbles, consequently Ripple chased the cat, knocking over all the bubbles in the process . We don't play with the bubbles anymore :shake: .

    Oh Ripple.....

We have played with them before - I would be surprised if there was any toxicity associated with them as they are generally produced for children and "child safe"
