Oh wow and double wow , these are absolutely gorgeous photos of my Little and Large , thank you so so so much . Photos of Sam are precious, for obvious reasons x
Oh beautiful capture of Sam and Nell...two very special dogs.( I know all the forum dogs are special!)
Such special photo's of Sam and Nell They are indeed two very special dogs Their owner is pretty special too xx
Thanks! Today was Tintagel - which apparently is the dog-walking epicentre of Cornwall. Despite the death of my good camera, I still got some OK pics which I'll post later. Tomorrow is St. Michael's/Penzance. Purely tourism but I'm sure I'll spot some dogs to pet. I'm beginning to understand that the UK is the most dog-crazy nation I've ever visited! Saturday I'm heading up to Clevedon where I'll be based for a month. Hoping for some good visits with Forum members in the area and setting up those illusive breeder visits. Also I'm planning a meet up with a rescue dog I knew really well in Spain, who now lives in Bristol. It would make his former foster mom's year if I could visit with him and get some photos/videos of him with his new family. Kate has also told me about some sort of "Game Show" in a couple weeks. At first, I thought she was saying "Gang Show", which as I am from California, I was reluctant to attend. But she assures me it is actually a very interesting (and safe) English cultural thing with lots of dogs. Hey, I learn something new every day! That's the big plan so far!
Oh Gosh! The Gang Show! @Emily_BabbelHund your rather sudden quizzical expression was priceless...I was wondering what on earth I had said that was caused such rather obvious facial leakage... oh laughing all over again! The Gang Show at Bowood House.. http://wiltshiregameandcountryfair.co.uk/
Love love LOVE the forum dog photos. I loved the gate at the public swimming pool at Penzance - nostalgic for another era of craftsmanship.
Lovely photos of Sam and Nell - and Tuppence is very relieved that Sam got all three tennis balls. She believes in collecting more than one, too!
Hi Mags! Hope Germany is treating you well! The weather is kind of what I expected - lots of rain with periods of dry and a glimpse of sun now and then. Yet despite expecting it, I have to admit it is a little depressing. I guess in Germany I don't care if it rains all summer as I have to work anyway and rain means I'm not sweltering as badly in my little basement flat. Here the beautiful beach is calling my name, but the wind and rain is not so conducive to sitting with my Kindle and enjoying the view for hours, though I've had some nice walks in between the rain drops. But having said that, I will get used to it and give all my waterproof everything a real test over the coming couple months. I will really amortise my investment in Gore-Tex, that's for sure!
Yes, sitting and admiring a beach when it's piddling down is less than fun. Walking on it is far better, but who wants to walk alone in the wind and rain? When you have a dog by your side, though, it's brilliant - it's invigorating and fun. See, Emily, what you need is a dog. Who knew?
