old girl

Its hard watching her age she's had a few bladder leakage problems recently . We've been treating her for 2 weeks and its gone well no bladder leaks, but today she's had a bad day. She's seemed tired and slept deeply and that's when she's leaked urine. Not a little a lot. Poor little dog. she didn't seem aware.
Its hard to equate the strong vital perverse imp to the frail dog she's becoming. Still that's my problem she's still happy eatting well and enjoying her life. The rest doesn't matter I'm just aware time is passing quicker for her now.

 

Massive virtual hugs for you , it is hard to see the changes , to be aware of the passage of time that goes too quickly . You are a truly grand owner , enjoy your lovely old Moo , she thinks she is the same as she was years ago , and as long as she is happy , that's all that matters xxx

 

Poor old girl. Her mum is definitely batting for her though.

The old girl still has some naughtiness in her yet, I'm sure xx

 

We always love them and somehow it gets you through.She still makes me laugh every day

 

I can so identify with the sadness of seeing our dogs change from the full of life, full of character and naughty imps to an older dog. But they are still the same dog in their minds and we love them all the more for being old xx

Its a bit weird but I love my old dogs best they seem perfect. She's so sure of herself and so chilled she knows I will make everything ok and the world will be as she likes it.

 

A perfect way to put the beauty that is an older dog. I hope she has a better day tomorrow and is back to making you crazy with her antics.

Ah, bless your dear old girl. Their lives seem to short don't they.

A few years ago I was helping out one of the dog rescues and there was a family who bought an old dog in stating they couldn't keep her due to various family problems. Fortunately we were a close charity so when this family fetched up at the branch in the neighbouring county applying for a pup, claiming not to have had a dog for many years, we were able to put 2 and 2 together. The were challenged and said they couldn't cope with the old dog because she was old and the children said was 'no fun any more'.
Needless to say, they were not allocated a dog from that rescue.
