Sure I do, you wouldn't forget Miss Sassy, now would you? Yeah, she's fine, as soon as her season is finished I will pop her down to be weighed, I'm sure she will be ok as she's had plenty of positive experiences there.
I'm curious. Does cutting to much nail actually hurt. Tilly does not like having her nails trimmed at all and it takes a lot of holding and treats to get it done. However, the last time I did cut too much of one and it bled a lot, but Tilly did not seem to mind that one any more than the rest. She did not act like it hurt at all when we were done. We have never had to trim Cooper's nails, because she is so active, but I dread having to do it some time in the future. While she is a huge cuddly bear and will let you handle her paws and nails all you want, she does not like being brushed, and reacts anytime you have a grooming tool or clippers in your hands.
Cassie is very active too, but very rarely on hard surfaces such as tarmac or pavement. I imagine that cutting the quick does hurt. She's a very confident and friendly young dog, indeed most of my training problems are around that, I've never seen her react in such a way before.
I've only done it once...poor Scooby yelped and ran out of the house. He forgave me straight away, but I never tried again. Coco's nails are kept fairly short as we do a lot of road walking.
