I'm doing my Christmas shopping and wondering what size Safestix to buy. Medium would be more portable, but maybe the large is more Labrador size. What do you all have?
We have the medium one (Pink may I add). Suits Vanilla and it is easy to carry. Plus two dogs can carry it which is the case every now and then depending on her friend.
Blimey, you are organised. Actually this could be a good thread as will be buying for 3 dogs this year and would like to get appropriate pressies .
Not really, I'm going to the UK at some point this month and need to have done all my Christmas shopping by then
We have a medium and a large. The large is ridiculous. Medium is just fine. Ours are sitting unloved now. They were Scooby's favourites but Coco doesn't care for them. Here's an idea of how big the large is - it'd be good for 2 dogs at once!
I can't bring myself to buy one.. they look too much like something else I'd be scared me and Stanley would get a story like this..
They look and feel fairly robust. I wouldn't leave a dog alone with one, but then I don't leave Coco alone with any toys. I think of them as a fetch/carry toy, not a chew toy.
We have a large green safestix, but my two are not that really interested in it, they prefer a Large Kong training dummy. I think it was about £8. I got them off ebay. I have a couple of different sizes. They are bright orange, so I can easily see them on the water
I have similar, not by Kong, just regular gundog training water bumpers. Luna has a thing about sticks so I'm hoping this might break her of that
Ours were bought for a stone-substitute - Scooby was obsessed with carrying stuff and he would always pick up a huge stone on the beach, even if he had to dig one up, or a big, messy stick in the woods. He readily accepted the Safetix as an alternative. As a bonus, he loved to play fetch with it.
Annie does too, but she is not interested in it. It may be because it is too big for her. She is only small.
