@edzbird yes it was (it does annoy OH being interrupted middle of the night) I kind of like the middle of the nights with Vanilla. We used to do this last year when she was a pup. Think because it was the first real warm day, she decided to have an evening out. Hopefully she has grown out of these now and we get some more sleep (until the next pup)
Oh Coco! (this is copied from my facebook status today - I share my ups and downs publicly - it helps). Well Coco has plunged the depths of gross behaviour this morning. After a very successful lead walk we went into the beach with the Chuckit. The river was spread over the stones so not too deep today, and we did 4 or 5 over the wide delta. Then Coco did a run around the far bank of stones, chasing the gulls, then he came back to the running water (far away from me still) and went down into that deep shoulder rub that means something yucky! Again and again, legs kicking in the air. And he'd left the (expensive) ball behind. So of I marched, through the river, which was deeper than it looked as it bounced over the pebbles, flowing over my boots, and I catch up with Coco, rolling in a dead and decaying heron. I shouted "OFF" so he decided to try and pick it up...."LEAVE" ! To be fair, he did get OFF and he did LEAVE it when told, but my thoughts were clouded with the vile sight of the dog & the corpse, it's only now I realise how good he was...I suppose. I still had to retrieve the ball myself, he'd lost interest in it now. Rotten heron trumps a Chuckit.
My remission has failed again and I'm now in pr again. We've got a new drug and it's getting lined up for when I need it. Its experiemental and hopefully we can get some. I've had a difficult 2 weeks and been so poorly and in pain so much. I'm going to take some more chemo today, but first me and Rory are going for a massive walk in the country. Massive! it's going to be grueling long and wonderful . Its going to hurt and I am going to use it to get me through today. Got me wellies on
I'm so sorry. Enjoy your wonderful walk with Rory. I hope it helps you prepare for the next battle xx
I'm so sorry to hear this. It sounds like you know exactly what to do to get yourself geared up for the next round, so have a wonderful "good hurt" walk with your boy and then give 'em heck at the chemo centre.
I am so sorry @SwampDonkey. The sun is shining here - hope it is with you and you have a good walk with Rory .
Sorry for your bad news there @SwampDonkey. Have the best walk ever with Rory - may it give you the energy you need
@SwampDonkey Good luck I hope you can get on the new meds and that they help. I think you're really inspiring.
@SwampDonkey so sorry to hear this. Hope you all have a lovely walk and take your mind off your bad news for the afternoon. Best wishes for the next round of treatment.
@SwampDonkey sorry to hear not all is well. Hope you enjoyed your nice long walk with Rory and no doubt a nice cuddle with Moo when you got back. Hope all is well moving forward
My clonal colonies have got smaller the problem I've got is transformation.we had managed to stop the move to the new disease but it's starting again. Its slow though and the next drugs are good.at least it's not done too much damage to my joints yet. I'm annoyed but not too stressed it all feels managable. I got loads if choccy too
A man asked me if Ella was a Lab x GSP. I said "no, all lab" and he said "are you sure"? What does he want, a stat dec?? DNA??
Lol! I had a man a couple weeks ago who was convinced that Axel was a standard poodle mixed with Giant Schnauzer....... Then he added ‘and with maybe a bit of lab in there’ I just stared at him, waiting for a just kidding or something. Gave him a couple of slow blinks and said ‘he’s a full chocolate lab, nothing else ‘
