our puppy was on dr johns from breeder but we found she wasn’t eating much at all. So we have now switched her wainwrights as it was the only one I found done dry and wet as she wouldn’t eat without a wet food broth or some sort. But my question is how much of dry and how much of wet should she be having? She will be 10 weeks on Thursday. So the guide lines of the kibble is 270kg - 470kg daily The wet food pouch is 6-7 pouches daily and they 150kg per pouch The wet food tray is 1 1/2-5 trays daily and they are 395kg per tray
Well, the simple answer is that you take the daily allowance of wet and cut that in half, and do the same with the dry. But, if they are both complete foods, there's no reason what you couldn't use 25% of the daily amount for wet and 75% for dry. I wouldn't hold much stock in what the manufacturers say as far as amount is concerned. They usually grossly overestimate how much is needed for Labs (who seem to eke out every last calorie from their food) so you need to find the amount that suits your puppy. My male dog, for example, is fed about twice as much as his sister who is the same age, build and weight with the same exercise. It's down to the individual dog.
