Well selina27, if Cassie does have another phantom, you most certainly can't feel you have missed anything in any way whatsoever.
Reading all this, you have moved heaven and earth to avoid her going through that again. If anyone deserves a 'phantom free' season it is Cassie and you.
Fingers still firmly crossed here x

Hope all girls will have a settled and a uneventful (hopefully) season will occur.
Hugs to all and big licks.

Vanillas only season seem to last for ages started prior to xmas and finished about end Jan, with its own issues.

I do have a question which when I asked it in a different thread I realised I made a booboo, so never went back to change it.
Vanilla has a tuck but I take it the actual loose skin where her nipples are will never be as taught as originaly. Is there anything that could through excersise that could make it taught again? We do swimming walking up hills etc. and monitor her food.
    Sorry for my ignorance/silly question

@Sven, I'd answer your question if I could but I don't really know the answer! Perhaps a photo would help?

I do know that Cassie's nipples went back to preseason size in between seasons - almost invisible.

@selina27 apologies if I am hijacking your thread now.

Thanks yes her nipples are back to normal. No issues about that. If you see from the pictures the belly/nipple part. First pictures are from a front view while she is sitting. Second one is form a side view, it just 'hangs' a fraction. Does not bother me and last visit to the Vet, she had no issues and said it was normal as she had gone through a season.
Just wanted to know if others have the same (maybe they have, but if not what did they do). I know all dogs are different same as humans, so not overly concerned. But I just want to make sure that she is looked after best way.

Great to see pictures of the lovely Vanilla, she's gorgeous. I should think it's just the way she is, although I'm no expert. I think some bitches go like that after being in season, it just happens that Cassie didn't. Actually, right now she's skinny, the vet wanted the wait off the lumbar spine before spay. I find for that to happen I can see/ feel her backbone and see all her ribs.

Molly went much the same, we even thought she'd had a phantom because of it but I now think it was just her way. She has only just really returned to normal and her season started 13th June !
    She's in for spaying today.

Thanks @selina27 and @Karen. I figured it might just be normal, just being our first dog and that being a girl just was not sure. I know our Vet did comment on how thin and healthy she is versus some others at the vets. So I take that as a compliment.

@FayRose hope all goes well with Molly today. Sure she will get plenty of cuddles by tonight. Thinking of you.

Willow has a little bit of this and she never had a season. I think it's just one of those things.

So we are now a week post season, all is calm!! Slightly more energy and more comfortable, as her season subsided she started bringing toys etc to us as usual. As long as she gets a good walk and bits of training she's no bother at home at all. I don't think her nipples have got any bigger yet but it's hard to tell as I think her winter coat is masking them a bit. It's early days for pp.

Glad Cassie is doing well. Fingers crossed she will have an easier time this time and no pp.

Sounds like Cassie is doing well and having some fun, even if it is limited. Hope it stays this way and before you know it all back to normal (until op)

No signs here yet, either. The season was rather uneventful by all accounts (other than the house looking like a murder scene most days). Famous last words :D
