ok so up in the Western Isles for holidays and Nibbler has taken to eating poo. There is lotsof it lying about - rabbit and sheep mainly but he found what looked like cat poo last night and even I think dog poo today - breath is disgusting. Makes me want to puke too. He is mostly on his lead as wants to chase rabbits but seeems to just find it in the dark before I can spot it with torch. Had a penchant for pigeon poop at home which eventually gave him giardia. Should I be worried. Don’t be put off -lovely beaches - not all poo.

Finn will scoff sheep, rabbit and horse poo like he's never been fed! To start with I was disgusted but never managed to stop him, my excuse being he was 8 when we rescued him so is a bit old to change! We got used to it, and just try to see it before he does, but in a sheepy area that's difficult. Never done him any harm so hope Nibbler will be ok too. Enjoy your holiday.x

As a puppy Jess would have a nibble at most varieties of poo. She did get giardia, which I'm pretty sure was from eating stinky dog poo. :puke:

She doesn't seem to do it much any more - with the exception of cat poo. She has a very sneaky maneouvre when she's on the lead, which is to walk past as if she hasn't noticed it and then do a lightning-quick lunge and snaffle it before I can stop her. Clever - but disgusting - pup!

He seems to be ok -that is exactly the manouvre that he does too - even sneakier in the dark. Poos still seem pretty solid so hope all ok. Bought some balls to distract him and trying to stick to beaches as less poo there . Munching bits of seaweed but not going to stress too much. He seems happy enough.

The beach is even worse for Finn, decaying fish, dead crabs, old fish eggs,he goes for it all, lovable horror that he is!
